Eco-Point System for Housing Implemented

inner-window
The housing eco-point system was launched, following an approval of the supplementary budget for FY2009 by the Diet on January 28, 2010.

The program to promote the spread of green home appliances by using eco-points has started since May 2009, and now, the program is extended into the eco-friendly housing business. Under the system, housing eco-points are given to those who newly build or renovate eco-friendly houses using the materials and articles with saving-energy effects. The points can be used to buy other goods and services.
In the case of the eco-friendly house renovation, the eligibility is limited to only those whose building starts to construct on and after January 1, 2010 and completes the work on and after January 28, 2010.

The inner-window manufacturers are positively responding to this system by enhancing their own website contents. The consumer response seems to be forthcoming. JMADO (Plastic Windows Promotion Committee) has been received a lot of inquiries about the system and PVC sashes. Furthermore, the access to its homepage is also increasing. These show a high concern for the system. We expect that this system leads to an improvement of the awareness to the PVC sashes and an expansion of a demand for outer-window as well as inner-window.
