KOVEC established in Korea

In order to cope with the environmental issues related to PVC, the Korean PVC producers and converters have established KOVEC (Korean Environmental Council).

On March 22nd, its plenary meeting on establishment was held. Hitoshi Hori, who is in charge of international affairs at VEC, as well as being a vice chairman at APVN, was invited. In his congratulatory speech, Hitoshi Hori mentioned the importance of the cooperation between KOVEC and VEC in order to deal with environmental issues, from his standpoint of experience in working together with the European and US PVC industries.

Members of the KOVEC secretariat will be coming over to VEC this month in order to exchange information, and to promote the PVC industry's sound development in both countries.
