Prof. Itaru Yasuifs lecture on the environment issue gained high acclaim

Japan PVC Environmental Affairs Council (JPEC), comprised of 6 PVC converters plus VEC, invited Professor Itaru Yasui, who is the Vice-Rector of the United Nations University, to deliver a lecture in the 1st gathering on the prospects of the environment issue, at the Toranomon Pastoral Hotel in Tokyo. 

Here it was pointed out that the issue had 5 major trends, which are 1. climate change and the green house effect, 2. depletion of the water and food supply, 3. depletion of fossil fuels and energy, 4. the world population issue and 5.sustainable production and consumption. Prof. Yasui explained that in order to solve the environment issue, "a 3rd revolution" is needed where human activities are contained within the boundaries of the earth's capacity. He also mentioned our nation's and manufacturer industry's role in achieving this goal, and gained strong empathy from the participants.
