Follow-up of the Study on the Protective Effect for damage
by Salt Attack with PVC Sidings

Japan PVC Environmental Affair Council (JPEC) is studying the protective effect for the concrete deterioration by salt attack with PVC sidings, as it was reported before. The exposure tests have been carried out in Okinawa and Hokkaido. The one-year-test specimens were collected and an analysis of them started.

Earlier, though an analysis of the 7-month-test specimens (in Okinawa), an inhibitory effect on an entry of salt content was confirmed. This is going to be presented in Architectural Institute of Japan in the coming September.
