On 6th July 2011, the results of “the PVC Monozukuri Contest 2011” and the award ceremony took place successfully. Also, an exhibition was held at Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya to display the awarding works/products and excellent works. The event attracted many PVC manufacturers and processors, as well as people relate to design and education. This project helped designers better understand various features of PVC. It also created a broad-ranging partnership between raw material producers of PVC and manufacturers of final products. In addition, the program promoted the academic-industrial cooperation with many design schools. We believe that our new initiative could contribute to the activation of the whole industry of PVC.
