| Symposium on “Building Envelope in Environmental Era” |

VEC holds a symposium on “Building envelope in environmental era” on November 12, 2012 at Takeda Hall in the University of Tokyo, as a part of promotion activities for PVC building material.
There are different requirements to buildings such as saving-energy, CO2 emissions reduction, thermal insulation, health and longer life of buildings. Now, superior performance is required even for building materials.
The symposium has Dr. Yuzo Sakamoto, Chief Executive of Building Research Institute (BRI), as a coordinator, and some presentations on building envelope are provided by prominent professors in each field (windows, external wall materials, heat insulator, etc. composing exterior of buildings). Then, a panel discussion is to be held to consider better housing and construction materials.
