The Nagoya Plastic Industrial Fair 2012 took place at “Port Messe Nagoya (Nagoya Int'l Exhibition Hall)” in Aichi prefecture for three days from October 2 to 4. The awarded works in “the PVC Monozukuri Contest/PVC Design Award” were invited, with supercars from Toyota Motor Corporation. In the plastics industry, the outcomes through our new activities on PVC supporting our life infrastructure, plus other colorful articles and automotive interior materials, have attracted the visitors' attention. In the opening ceremony, Hidetoshi Kimura, Director-General, Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, expressed an expectation towards the activities in Chubu region supporting Monodukuri in Japan. In addition, Masaaki Katsuyama, Chairman of Chubu Federation of Plastics Associations, introduced some positive approach on PVC.
