| Review on Preferable Treatment for EM Wires/Cables in Miyagi and Wakayama |

We have encouraged Miyagi prefectural authorities to review its preferential treatment for EM wires/cables. They informed us a change of their guideline. On their website, the “Preferential procurement: EM Wires/Cables” was deleted from a list for public work projects of “Miyagi Green Procurement Promotion Project 2013.”
Wakayama prefectural authorities also deleted “Wiring/Cabling material: Eco cables” from a list for public work projects in the 2012 Green Products Purchase Promotion Policy (effective on July 5, 2013). There are almost no local governments that provide a preferential treatment for EM wires/cables. We would like to continue such activities to end the exclusion of PVC.
