| PVC Design Award 2013 Kicked Off! - Briefing for designers also held |

The Kick-off meeting of the “PVC Design Award 2013” was held by wishing for the success of this big event. On July 3rd, 2013, 24 representatives of the host and cooperative organizations gathered in the East Japan Plastic Industry’s Kosei Nenkin Kikin Hall (Tokyo, Japan). The chairman of the management board made a brief address to pray for the success of the event and the cooperation by all organizations. Then, the secretariat summed up the last event, gave the intents and purposes for this event and reported the current situation.

In addition, for the first time, some experts in soft PVC were selected and entrusted as advisors in each region of Tokyo, Chubu and Kansai. In the gathering which was held after the meeting, the members in the supply chain, beyond the boundaries of region and business, were fueled by hope for the Design Award.
Along with the kick-off meeting, the “briefing for designers” took place in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. Through these briefings, we expect that more designs are proposed and that the collaboration of the Monozukuri (manufacturing) power of PVC industry and the power of designers who put functionality into a product leads to a new business.
