| Symposium on Restoration Housing in Sendai |

VEC holds a symposium on “Envelope Design in Housing -- three years after the Great East Japan Earthquake” on October 10, 2013 at Forest Sendai in Sendai, Iwate prefecture.
In order to achieve “better quality (saving-energy and livability)” which is required in a recovery from a disaster, from the viewpoint of envelope design (design for outer layer=insulation and energy-saving design) forming your house, several experts engaging in the government measures, designers and suppliers make some proposals on what to put priorities in housing within a limited budget.
We hope that all the recommendation leads to a spread and promotion of housing which helps save energy and is livable and healthy for those who need to reconstruct their own houses.
Also, the 2nd symposium on “Building Envelope in Environmental Era” is going to be held at the University of Tokyo on November 22, 2013.
