On October 10, 2013, a symposium on “Envelope Design in Housing -- Three Years after the Great East Japan Earthquake” was held at Forest Sendai in Sendai, Iwate prefecture, inviting Dr. Yuzo Sakamoto, Chief Executive of Building Research Institute, and Dr. Hirotaka Suzuki, Chief of Environmental Science Section of Northern Regional Building Research Institute.
By having the nearly 100 people from the material manufacturers of windows and thermal insulator, building and construction companies, and architects, the symposium was highly successfully with some lectures, a panel discussion and Q&A session.
