| Symposium on Restoration Housing at Univ. of Tokyo |

VEC holds the 2nd symposium on “Building Envelope in Environmental Era” at Ito International Research center of the University of Tokyo on November 22, 2013.
The subtitle of the symposium is “New Criteria for Residential Insulation.” The public speakers include Dr. Yuzo Sakamoto, Chief Executive of Building Research Institute (BRI), who talked at the last occasion as well, an expert who is involved in developing government measures in working groups, a residential architect, and a person taking consumers' side.
Then, a panel discussion is held with the public speakers above and those who are from housing suppliers and construction materials manufacturers. The insulation level in the energy-saving standard, which was just modified in 2013, will be the first topic. The discussion will be expanded to the assumable insulation level to regulate, and to the insulation level which should be in the future.
We hope that this discussion could lead to an enlightenment of suppliers of housing and construction materials as well as to a facilitation of supply of the improved products.
