Delivery of Plastic Class for Junior High School Students Starts

On 3rd July, the first delivery of plastic class in this academic year was made for two junior high schools in Fukushima Prefecture. More requests have come from every region of the country since this activity was introduced in Japan Educational Newspaper in June. In addition, volunteer activities for “Saturday School Program” also started this year. At present, we are expected to visit five schools until the end of August.

Meanwhile, Japan Petrochemical Industry Association joined this year as a new partnership member into Liaison Committee on Plastic Education for teachers of junior and senior high schools that is a partnership with Japan Chemical Industry Association (JCIA), the Japan Plastics Industry Federation (JPIF), Plastic Waste Management Institute and VEC. The lectures and experiments of plastics and the plastic plant tour are going to be held on 31st July and 5th August for science teachers of Junior high schools in Tokyo. The activities by the Liaison Committee are expected to be further improved.
