| Establishment of “Study Group on Realization of ZEB / ZEH” |

VEC established a study group for promoting ZEB / ZEH in collaboration with Prof. Akimoto of Shibaura Institute of Technology, NIKKEN SEKKEI Research Institute, Daikin Industries, Ltd. and all sash manufacturers in Japan. The ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building)/ZEH (Net Zero Energy House) project has been encouraged by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.
A committee for ZEH has already launched by others. Therefore, our committee is specialized for windows and high-performance air conditioners by focusing on ZEB including hotels, rehabilitation facilities for the elderly, and hospitals. We expect to offer some contents and technique packages in the coming three years by running simulations, performing artificial climatic chamber experiments, and making some experiments in some specific buildings.
