The 140th UEDA GAKUEN Collection 2018, hosted by Ueda College of Fashion, took place in Grand Front Osaka (Osaka, Japan) on January 20, 2018, under the theme of “Progress – Future and Evolution of Fashion.” The collection of around 240 pieces created by the students was shown, and the theme works such as product planning or fashion items and accessories were exhibited. This is the largest events among all of specialty colleges and had as many as 3,000 visitors. PVCnext and VEC have worked in cooperation with this college since 2011. This time also, we cooperated through the provision of materials for students in creating the brand planning works. Their brand name is “Strawberry Generation.” The pieces have vibrant design based on strawberry color, using the characteristics of PVC such as colorability (see the photos below).
Also, the exhibition of theme work drew attention. A lot of fashion items and accessories were displayed. They were printed various patterns on the fabric by using eraser stamp “Horunavi” which were provided in cooperation with SEED Co., Ltd.

*“Strawberry generation” refers to Taiwan’s millennials, or those who were born between 1981 and 1990, like Generation Y in the US.
